Bell Canada has announced the HTC 6800 smartphone (also known as the Sprint Mogul south of the border). Operating on the Bell high speed mobile data network, the HTC 6800 allows clients to make mobile calls, manage e-mail, keep track of schedules and contacts, and access the Internet. It’s also the first smartphone in Canada to offer Microsoft Windows Mobile 6 Professional, meaning clients can manage their business files and documents on the go.
In terms of specs, the HTC 6800 is powered by a 384MHz Qualcomm processor and Windows Mobile 6 Professional and comes with dual band CDMA and EVDO support (upgradeable to EVDO Rev. A when available), a 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen, 64MB RAM and 128MB ROM, a sliding QWERTY keyboard, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 with stereo support, a 2MP camera and a microSD slot.
The Bell HTC 6800 will be available for CAD$199.95 with a three year agreement. It will cost CAD$599.95 without a contract.
