While the arrival of the iPAQ 600 Business Navigator series and 900 Business Messenger series (announced back in September) have slipped into early 2008, HP is already working on future devices. Details are slim but DigiTimes reports that HP has partnered with Compal Communications to develop three additional smartphones. Nothing is known about specifications yet but the three new models are not expected until the second half of 2008.
Meanwhile, at least part of the iPAQ 600 and 900 delays appear to be due to certification problems, according to DigiTimes sources. But it’s not clear if these issues are limited to Taiwan or if they are more widespread.
