ASUS has launched the M530w Smartphone. The candy-bar device comes with a QWERTY keyboard and looks quite similar to the HTC S620 and Motorola Q in design. Aimed primarily at business users, ASUS touts its support for different mail server systems (POP3, IMAP4, Microsoft Exchange, BlackBerry4.0) and its built-in Business Card Recognition software that easily captures business card details as contact information.
In terms of specs, it will come with Windows Mobile 6 Standard, tri-band GSM/GPRS and UMTS support, 64MB RAM and 256MB ROM, a 2.4-inch QVGA display, 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 and a 2MP camera.
The press release does not provide information on where it will be offered and through what carriers. Pricing information is also not yet available.
