The Apple iPhone made a brief appearance at the CTIA Wireless 2007 show today in the hands of AT&T chief operating officer Randall Stephenson during his keynote. The audience snapped to attention and the room lit with camera flashes. Apparently, this was only the second time that Stephenson had seen or held an iPhone.
So far, all signs continue to suggest that Apple is on target to release the iPhone in June through AT&T in the US.
Stephenson also revealed that AT&T has fielded some one million questions from people asking to be notified when the iPhone becomes available. It’s not quite the same as sales but shows that there is quite a bit of pent-up demand for the iPhone.
