Dutch website Pocketinfo.nl posted (and then pulled) a story that indicated that Windows Mobile 6.1 would be announced by Microsoft in February 2008 with devices starting to ship in May. One of the most interesting items about this story is that the new OS will apparently come with a new carousel feature. This carousel will let a user switch between zones by scrolling left and right and then selecting an action.
Windows Mobile 6.1 will apparently also come with improvements to Wi-Fi, Exchange integration and Bluetooth.
It remains to be seen if upgrades to the new OS will be offered.
