Now quad-core or 8-core processing power. Soon after, the Apple UK store shut down and when it reopened, the 8-core Mac Pro had disappeared.

Apple Insider also reports that the new Mac Pro will use two Intel quad-core Xeon 5300 series “Clovertown” chips to achieve its 8-core configuration.
