During CES, i-mate announced that both the JAQ3 and the PDAL will be available in the US, Canada and Latin America by the end of the month. Both had been officially unveiled back last November.
The two devices share the following specs: A TI OMAP 201MHz processor, Windows Mobile 5 for Pocket PC with AKU 3.2, quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE, 64MB RAM and 128MB ROM, 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 1.2, a microSD slot, 2MP camera and a 2.4-inch QVGA screen.
The devices differ mostly in their form factors. The JAQ3 comes with a QWERTY keyboard, five direction-control buttons and a scroll wheel. The screen is set up in landscape orientation. The PDAL is smaller, lacking both the QWERTY keyboard and scroll wheel.
