At CeBIT, SanDisk announced the SanDisk Mobile Premier line of microSD cards. The Premier line is aimed at the mobile phone market and will allow consumers to quickly transfer content to and from their mobile phones as well as increase storage for videos, music, ring tones, digital images and other files. It also comes with SanDisk’s TrustedFlash technology which will allow network operators to sell premium content that will be stored on the cards and played back on any TrustedFlash-enabled device authorized by the provider.
The cards will offer read/write speeds are 10 and 9 MBps respectively. Each card will also come with a standard SD card slot adapter.
The Premier line will be initially offered in 1 and 2GB capacities for $44.99 USD and $69.99 USD respectively. The cards should be available later this spring.
