Think Secret has learned that Apple has run into problems with its forthcoming video iPod. The issues revolve around the display and touch-screen interface and have forced both Apple adn the display’s manufacturer to look for a new solution. The release has been pushed back to late in the year but still in time for the holiday buying season.
The rumoured video iPod is supposed to have a screen that spans almost the entire front. The traditional click wheel is to make way for a virtual track wheel touchscreen interface.
The article also indicates that Apple will not launch the video iPod without having movie agreements in place (and vice-versa). As indicated earlier, part of the challenge in getting agreements signed is that Hollywood wants to offer subscription services whereas Apple wants to offer a downlad-to-own service.
