Two miners trapped in a Tasmanian mine for more than a week are now listening to iPods while they await rescue. Rescuers have been able to get a nine-centimetre PVC pipe to the men trapped in a cage some 12 meters below ground. The pipe has been used to send food, water, dry clothes, blankets and a digital camera to them. The camera allowed rescuers to get a better idea of their surroundings. Creature comforts such as deodorant and toothpaste have also been sent down.
I will refrain from making any jokes as to what songs they are listening to!
