PiperJaffray analyst Gene Munster has taken a look at some 11 Apple rumours currently floating around and rated them on a scale of 1 to 10 based on the likelihood that each would be announced at MacWorld 2007.
Rating 10 out 10 (also known as “almost certain”) are the release of iTV and the arrival of the first iPhone within 6 months. This first iPhone’s form factor rates a 9 out of 10 and should be a slim nano-like device with a camera and GSM/GPRS network compatibility. At 7 out of 10 (or likely within the next year) are the video iPod and a second iPhone, this one with an integrated keyboard. Suggestions that both 4GB and 8GB versions will be available only gets a 6 out of 10.
Rumours with lower scores include a 12-inch MacBook Pro (4 out of 10) and the release of Mac OS X 10.5 (aka Leopard) at MacWorld (3 out of 10) among others.
Meanwhile, over at Prudential, another analyst suggests that production has already begun on the smaller iPhone and the larger version will not appear until the third quarter of 2007. The video iPod should appear in the first half of 2007.
