HP has officially announced the new iPAQ hw6900 Mobile Messenger. HP has confirmed that the hw6900 will receive mail wirelessly using Microsoft’s new “push” technology (ie, the Microsoft Security Feature Pack). The sleek hw6900 is the first handheld with four integrated radios so customers can stay connected in more places around the world. Included are: Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth wireless technology. The Bluetooth technology additionally offers wireless communication with other Bluetooth devices such as headsets, printers and automobile hands-free kits.
The hw6900 will appear first in the Asia Pacific and Europe, Middle East and Africa regions this spring and North America will follow in the summer. Pricing and carrier information will be announced then.
HP’s US site now shows the iPAQ hw6940 as being available in late spring (is that the same as early summer?)
