Motorola has released a software update for the Motorola Q offered through Verizon. The update adds Microsoft’s Message and Security Feature Pack (MSFP), support for Dial-Up Networking (DUN) so that you can use your Q as a modem for another device (for an additional fee), hearing aid compliance standards and improved browser navigation. The update also separates Bluetooth from the Q’s Flight Mode which will let you use wireless headsets on airplanes.
The update is available for free but make sure that you backup all your programs and data as the update will delete all content, including personal settings and personal data.
