The Samsung SGH-P900 TV phone has already been announced for Europe and has now received FCC approval, paving the way for its arrival to North American shores later this year. Without an actual T-DMB digital mobile television service in North America, I’m not sure that there will be the same appeal here as in Europe. Aside from TV, the SGH-P900 clamshell comes with tri-band (GSM/GPRS/EDGE) support, a very cool 2.2-inch display that swivels to give you a horizontal view mode, a TV-out port, 128Mb of internal memory, support for MPEG-4 video and MP3/AAC audio, a 2MP camera, Bluetooth and an external micro-SD slot.
Pricing information is expected closer to the actual launch.
