Samsung has taken the wraps off the SGH-i-600 is the world’s first 3G smartphone with HSDPA (High Speed Downlink Packet Access) support. It is also the world’s thinnest 3G smartphone with a full QWERTY keyboard at a thickness of only 11.8 mm. Needless to say, it also comes with quad-band GSM/EDGE/UMTS support.
Powered by Windows Mobile 5.0, it comes with 64MB ROM and 128MB ROM, 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR and A2DP stereo audio support, two integrated digital cameras, a 2.3-inch display, a speakerphone, built-in voice recognition and a microSD slot. It also comes with support for RSS feeds and podcasting.
The Samsung Ultra Messaging i600 will be available in Asia and Europe starting in the first quarter of 2007.
