Engadget has landed pictures of the Motorola Canary, the codename for what is to apparently become the RAZR’s successor. Along with the pictures comes word that it will not run on Windows Mobile 5.0 as rumoured earlier but on the same software as the current RAZR. In terms of specs, it appears that it will be a UMTS device packing a 2MP camera, Bluetooth and a microSD slot. It will be as thin as the RAZR (give or take a few millimeters) but narrower. It will apparently come with a glossy finish and be detailed with aluminum.
Rumours suggest a late 2006 or early 2007 launch for the new Motorola flagship phone.
