Microsoft’s plans to have the Zune take over the world will take some time if the latest rumours are true. It looks like the Zune will not launch in the UK until late 2007 or early 2008 according to Microsoft media and entertainment alliance manager Dene Schonknecht. The delay appears to be due to the fact that Microsoft does not have a music store provider for the Zune Marketplace in the UK. If this is true, the Zune will hit the UK over a year after it hit US shores.
It looks like Steve Jobs may have one more reason not to be worried about the latest iPod competitor.
