Nintendo held a press conference earlier today in New York to announce the release dates for its new gaming platform. The Wii will hit stores in North America on November 19 for $250 USD. The Japanese launch will follow 2 weeks later.
The Wii comes with an innovative controller that tracks your movements and sends them back to the console to control games. And unlike the more expensive XBox 360 and upcoming PlayStation 3, the Wii focuses less on graphics and more on gameplay. Wii will come with Wii Sports, a package of tennis, golf, baseball, bowling and boxing games.
Nintendo also unveiled Wii Channels which will feature different online content.
