Among all the other announcements, Apple announced iPod Radio Remote at Macworld 2006. Compatible with the iPod nano and iPod with video, it lets you listen to FM radio and control everything with a convenient wired remote. You tune the radio using the Click Wheel and the iPod screen displays all the information you need, including RDS (Radio Data System) information like song titles, artist and other information if the radio station supports it.
The wired remote control lets you control most iPod functions and comes with a clip. You can use either the included earphones or any other set.
The iPod Radio Remote is available from Apple for $49 USD or $59 CAD.
It’s still too bad that this was not integrated directly into the iPods from the first but it looks like Apple heard the people clamouring!
