Starting with the 2006 model year, the Chrysler Group will be offering full iPod integration as an option on most Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge vehicles. The system will let you control your iPod through either radio or steering wheel controls (eg, select music by artist, album or playlist). The radio display will show selections and menus.
The kit will be offered as a $175 USD option (plus installation). It will also be available on many 2005 models as a retrofit.
A number of other car manufacturers including BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Volvo already offer a similar option on certain models.
