There are more reports that HP is getting ready to launch a Smartphone. It seems that HP is working with Quanta on an updated version of the XDA Atom. The current Atom comes with an Intel 416MHz processor, 64MB RAM and 128 MB Flash ROM, a 2.7-inch QVGA screen, 802.11b Wi-Fi, tri-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE support, a miniSD slot and Windows Mobile 5.0. HP’s version may come with quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE support instead.
The article does indicate that this not the only Smartphone that HP is considering partnering with Quanta on.
This is also not the first time that rumours surface about HP working on Smartphone. You may recall another rumour in December 2005 about the rw4500.
