The long rumoured iPAQ rw6800 has finally been officially confirmed by HP. It combines mobile entertainment capabilities with a number of connectivity modes that include tri-band GSM, GPRS, EDGE, 802.11b Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 1.2. Powered by 416MHz Intel processor, it comes with 64MB RAM and 128MB ROM, dual stereo speakers, a 2.7-inch QVGA screen, a miniSD slot and a 2MP camera. It is powered by Windows Mobile 5.0 and includes the MSFP that supports push email. You will also have a choice of designer white or metallic silver.
Now for what could be bad news for some: The rw6800 has been designed for the Asian market. At this point in time, it is not clear if we will see this device in Europe or North America.
Pricing information will be made available closer to the launch date expected sometime in Q2 2006.
