The Los Angeles Times is reporting on rumours that Google could be jumping into the PC market. They report that this Friday’s CES keynote by Larry Page, one of Google’s co-founders, could see him show off a Google PC or at least announce a partnership with a big retailer.
Instead of running Windows, this PC would run an OS created by Google. My guess would be that this would be a new Linux flavour. Further speculation indicates that this device would be used to let users move digital content such as songs, videos and more between computers and TV sets.
Update: Sometimes, rumours are just rumours. Google has denied that there is any truth to this rumour, according to CNET.
