E-TEN’s glofiish X500 has received FCC approval. Interestingly, it is listed as the OX500. The glofiish X500 is a thin (15.5 mm thick) quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE Pocket PC Phone that also includes GPS and Wi-Fi. Powered by a 400MHz Samsung processor and Windows Mobile 5.0, it comes with a 2.8-inch QVGA screen, 64MB ROM and 128MB ROM, GPS using the SiRFStar III chipset, 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0, a 2MP camera, an internal antenna and a microSD slot.
With its FCC approval in its pocket, perhaps the X500 will show up soon at a North American carrier.
Meanwhile, French site Pocket PC Paradise reports that E-TEN is working on a number of upcoming products for 2007, including a Pocket PC Phone with both GPS and a 2.8-inch VGA screen.
