Dopod has announced four new Pocket PC devices and one Smartphone. All five use HTC designs: The P800W and M700 are based on the Artemis, the C800 is based on the Herald, the D810 on Trinity and the C720 based on the Excalibur smartphone. An overview of all five devices can be seen here.
Interestingly, Dopod took the HTC Excalibur and modified it to include 802.11g Wi-Fi and support for both Windows Mobile Direct Push and BlackBerry Connect technologies. The M700, touted as a music-oriented PDA-phone, leaves out the Artemis’s GPS to double the amount ROM to 256MB and adds a 512MB microSD card to the bundle.
The new Dopods will hit stores by the end of November, with the P800W landing a bit earlier in mid-November.
