If leaked pictures from MoDaCo.com are to be believed Cingular will soon announce the release of an HTC variant, the 8525 which will succeed the Cingular 8125 (itself based on the HTC Wizard). The 8525 will add a number of features such as a scroll wheel, a faster processor, an improved keyboard and support for UMTS and HSDPA. More interestingly, the screen shots show support for Push-To-Talk technology (PTT), something I don’t think has been seen on a Windows Mobile device before. It will not include a front-facing VGA camera given that the Cingular network does not support video calls.
A release date has not been revealed but is expected shortly.
