Bang & Olufsen is teaming up with Samsung for its first foray into the world of mobile phones. Called Serene, the design is worthy of other Bang & Olufsen designs. The phone is a clamshell design with an aluminum hinge. The screen is a 2.1-inch QVGA display and takes up one of the two halves. On the other side is a navigation wheel (already seen on other Bang & Olufsen phones). The keypad is arranged around the navigation wheel, with the loudspeaker placed behind the keypad. The tri-band GSM/GPRS Serene will also come with Bluetooth, a VGA camera and will support SMS, MMS, WAP 2.0 and e-mail with Outlook synchronisation.
The Serene will be available starting in November in North American Bang & Olufsen stores. It will sell for $1275 USD.
