A new partnership between Apple and Nike has been announced. The first of a new line of Nike+iPod products is the Nike+iPod Sport Kit whereby Nike+ footwear will communicate wirelessly with your iPod to deliver information such as time, distance, calories burned and pace will be displayed on your iPod. You will also receive real-time audible updates (Your iPod will talk to you) so that you don’t need to look at your iPod. The kit includes an in-shoe sensor and a receiver that attaches to your iPod. The yet unreleased iTunes 6.0.5 will be required.
Nike also announced the Nike+ Air Zoom Moire, the first footwear to support this kit.
The Nike+iPod Sport Kit will sell for $29 USD and should be available within the next 60 days at Apple retail and online stores, Nike stores and other selected stores.
