French site Mobinaute is reporting that Taiwanese company Power Digital Card is getting ready to launch a 802.11g SD Wi-Fi card for Pocket PC devices. The SD card will also be 30 percent more energy efficient than other WiFi cards. The card will come with drivers for Pocket PC 2003, WinCE 5.0, Windows Mobile 5.0 and Linux 2.4 (and others) and will support VoIP and both WEP (64/128-bits) and WPA (TKIP, AES) security standards.
The card is expected sometime in Q2 1006 (June presumably). Pricing information was not provided.
