We were expecting a 23-inch iMac to be announced at next week’s Apple media event. Instead, a 24-inch version quietly slipped on the Apple web site today. Featuring a 24-inch LCD screen capable of a 1920×1200 resolution, it also comes with a 2.16GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor and an NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT graphics card with 128MB memory. The new 24-inch iMac will sell for $1,999 USD ($2,249 CAD).
The 17-inch and 20-inch iMacs have also been updated to use the Intel Core 2 Duo processors with speeds ranging from 1.83Ghz to 2.33Ghz. It looks like other specs are pretty much the same.
