When the HTC Cavalier hits the street, it will do so as the HTC S650, according to Russian web site www.ferra.ru. The site got an opportunity to put the Cavalier up against the Samsung SGH-i600 (also known as the Blackjack).
The article confirms that the S650 will offer quad-band (GSM/GPRS/EDGE) support, UMTS (2100/850/1900) and HSDPA support and will be powered by Windows Mobile 5.0 for Smartphone with AKU 3.2 and a a 400MHz Samsung processor. Like the current Excalibur (the unit it will replace), it will have a 2.4-inch screen, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 128MB ROM and 64MB RAM and a microSD slot. Like the Excalibur, it will also come with the JOGGR touch sensitive navigation bar.
The HTC S650’s release date remains unconfirmed although www.ferra.ru reports that it will hit Russia in summer 2007.
