Fresh from their name change back to Palm, it appears that Palm is working on a project that they are not quite ready to share with the world. In an interview with the Portland Business Journal, Palm founder and CTO Jeff Hawkins dropped a few hints. There is a third business that I’ve been working on but I’m not going to tell you what it is. It’s in mobile computing. It’s something different and it’s in its early stage.
So what is this secret business? Hawkins drops some hints about high-speed Internet connections, gigabytes of storage, super-fast processors, audio, visual and multimedia. Does that not sound like a LifeDrive? That’s the conjecture that Brighthand came up with. We’ll just have to see…
