Palm announced its Q2 FY06 results yesterday with revenues up 18 percent from a year ago to $444.6 USD million. This marks the eighth consecutive quarter of year-over-year double-digit revenue growth for Palm. Among the highlights were the addition of seven new carriers, including China for the first time and the shipment of more than 1 million Treo smartphones during the first half of fiscal 2006.
More interesting is that Ed Colligan revealed that Palm will not only roll out the Treo 700w smartphone (running Windows Mobile 5.0) but an additional 3 new smartphones during calendar year 2006. Could one of these be the Treo 700p?
