At the CTIA Wireless IT & Entertainment conference, Research In Motion has confirmed that future BlackBerrys will use Intel processors. The new devices will make use of Intel’s XScale PXA9xx processor, code-named Hermon, and will run on EDGE (Enhanced Data rates for Global Evolution). Intel’s processor will give the devices added horsepower without compromising battery life.
