They look at hardware, the Linux-based operating system (including resources where you can get additional open source programs), text input (the upside down numeric keypad like on a cell phone and word recognition were not a hit), data and CPU performance, multimedia capabilities, email, news/RSS and browsing capabilities,
The review includes plenty of pictures and screenshots.
And their conclusion? Despite negatives such as some MP3 playback issues, sometimes slow performance and unusable handwriting recognition, the Nokia 770 scored a ‘Highly Recommended’.
