As widely expected, Apple announced the Motorola ROKR during its September 7 special event. The ROKR is the first iTunes-enabled phone and its interface should be very familiar to anyone who has used an iPod before.It comes with a colour screen will let you display album art as well as all the other phone features you’d expect, dual built-in stereo speakers and stereo headphones that also serve as a mobile headset with microphone. The ROKR can hold up to 100 songs that you simply download from your computer. You will not be able to purchase songs using the phone.
The ROKR is immediately availabe in the US from Cingular ($249 USD with a 2 year plan). Other countries such as Canada, the UK, France, Italy and more will follow in mid to late September.
