A recent survey is supporting what other analysts had been predicting for a while, namely that iPod sales would have a beneficial effect on Apple’s desktop business. Recent numbers are also supporting this with Apple’s desktop share climbing from 2.1 in fourth quarter 2003 to 2.2 in third quarter 2004 and 2.9 in fourth quarter 2004.
And the Mac Mini did not have a chance to influence those numbers as it was only released in 2005 but preliminary numbers are again showing healthy results for Apple.
