NVIDIA has unveiled the International Mobile Gaming Awards to recognize and promote 3D game development for handhelds and mobile phones.
Proposals will be accepted until September 2005. A panel will then select twenty concepts that will receive the necessary support to turn the proposed ideas into demonstrable games by end of January 2006. This support will consist of technical support and 3D design software applications as well as the potential for office space.
In February 2006, winners will be announced in 4 categories: Best Art, Best Game Play, Best Technical Achievement and The“Grand Prix” for the Overall Winner. The Overall Winner will receive a guaranteed contract with an operator and a publisher to market and sell the game.
