So we know that Microsoft has begun work on the next generation of Windows Mobile. Codenamed Photon, little information has surfaced do date. It is not expected any time soon but, according to Brighthand, we might just see an update to Windows Mobile 5.0 sometime in the first half of 2006. Codenamed Crossbow, it is likely to focus on improvements and small enhancements. Again, there is little more information than this at this time.
